Imagine a pure mountain. Listen to the birds singing and the wind in the trees. All around you is nature and breathtaking views of valleys and mountains. Here you can enjoy the real mountains outside of mass tourism, where only a few people come. Truly a paradise for those who love less traveled paths and the Brenta Dolomites. Val Algone is located in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, the largest nature reserve in Trentino. We start from Stenico, where after a few minutes on the road you can already find hiking paths and some wonderful spots where you can play in the clear, fresh waters of the river. The small Malga Nambi, where cheese and yogurt are produced, is a nice place on the road to stop before climbing to the top of the mountain. Once you arrive in Movlina the view is incredible. From here you can park and start wondering what to see since here you are spoiled for choice:
There are easy trails or more challenging trails for all levels. We definitely recommend:
Valagola which is a wonderful emerald alpine lake or a trek to the two refuges with different paths and views: 12 Apostles or the Doss of Pinzolo and the incredible cemetery of marine fossils (yes, once upon a time there was the sea here).
It just depends on what you want to do, this place offers so many possibilities that honestly it's difficult to give just one piece of advice. Certainly if you love nature and excursions, you cannot miss this place which - we are sure - will remain in your heart.
Details:
*It takes about 30/40 minutes by car to get to Movlina from Stenico, a small fee is required for the entrance by car
*Bring water with you and, if you have, also a pair of binoculars
*You can enjoy this place not only in one day, to discover the top but also the beautiful area at the foot of the mountain
*From Stenico take the first road after the waterfall, where you will find a sign for Val Algone
